what a fucking waste

17 weeks and what happens?  The Cowboys take a giant shit on the field.   This was embarrassing. Genius Jerry says that he is not going to change the coaching staff. WTF?  I hate the cowboys right now. Really.

Now the Phillies have beat the Mets the last two years and now the Eagles smash the Cowboys. Upon further review I hate Philadelphia and everything that godforsaken city stands for, that's all.

Update: As P Points out in comments I am going to see the Jazz play Philly tonight.  DIE, SIXERS, DIE!!!1?11!!!!!

Cowboy's December support group:part one

Jerry Jones "surprised" Barber did not play. WTF?

Witten takes the blame. Which is exactly what I said as the play happened.

Yes, its true the Cowboys are trying to kill me.  It almost feels inevitable that we will fade in December now.  Oh well, it is what it is.  Hopefully, I'll feel better as the week goes on.

on being a cowboys fan

Coates is a much better writer than I am and expresses this much more effectively than I could.  Read the the whole thing. But this stands out.

Anyway, as any Cowboy fan can attest, being a Dallas fan in the 80s may have been the worst possible decade to pledge. The Cowboys were two things in 80s--really awful, or a game away from the Super Bowl.  I think we went to three straight NFC championships--and lost. Shit was rough. Imagine being a six-year old kid when "The Catch" happened. But I've been there for it all--for Hogeboom, for Landry brining Ed Jones back out because of fans, for Jerry firing the whole lot of everyone. That 92 game against the 49ers was such great payback--the 49ers ruined my childhood, and to beat them in that way had me floating for a week. The thing is this--I'm old school like Dexter Clinkscales, Rafael Septien, and Tony Hill. How can I switch now?

18 and 1!!!

This was the greatest upset I have ever seen.

DJ Gallo on the five stages of Patriot fan grief.

Simmons hears the chants.

Money quote:

Finally, can you guess the last thing we heard as we were walking (OK, hustling) out of the stadium right after the final play? That's right, it was the sound of euphoric Giants fans chanting, "Eighteen and one! Eighteen and one! Eighteen and one!" Yes, it's safe to say the Boston-New York rivalry has been taken to new heights. As a tennis umpire would say, "Advantage, New York."

Eighteen and one! Eighteen and one! Eighteen and one!

I can still hear them. I will always hear them.

  • The dryer broke.
  • Ravens and Steelers lose to Pats.(I am now resigned to the Pats going 18-0 and playing the Cowboys in Phoenix. And the Boys end the perfect season.)

Go Cowboys! The Eagles were grounded the Giants fell and the Maryland Savages are next!

I know my blogs have all been videos and lack the usual level of insight and pithyness. Big things going on. Ya'll be the first to know.
